Our Team

  • Peter Bakhit

Peter was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt. His journey with clay began after he took his first throwing class following his graduation from Gordon College, where he studied communication arts and business. He has a passion for spaces that foster creativity, hands-on work, and connections with others, which is why the pottery studio became the perfect environment for him. Peter served as the former studio manager at Indigo Fire in Watertown. His work is constantly evolving, though he particularly enjoys creating simple forms for everyday use. After living in Beverly for a few years, he is excited to be relocating back to the North Shore

  • June Lee

Hong Kong native June Lee moved to the US as a teen, discovering ceramics in 11th grade and falling in love with clay. Despite initial challenges, including pursuing a business degree, June persevered, balancing corporate life with pottery classes. In 2018, her dream of full-time artistry came true. Now a resident artist at Mudflat Pottery School and a ceramics instructor, June's work reflects her heritage with whimsical, nature-infused hand-painted ceramics showcased in exhibitions at LexArt, CraftBoston, and galleries like 13Forest and Mudflat Gallery.

  • Samantha Harris

Samantha is a Beverly native with 15+ years of experience with clay. She studied ceramics and photography at the Art Institute of Boston and has her Masters in Education. Samantha is a full time Special Education Teacher & dog mom as well as a part time ceramic artist. She is passionate about working closely with the small businesses in the community and is excited to share her love of clay with others.

  • Justin Kedl

Justin is a multidisciplinary artist and art historian, originally from the mid- and southwest, and now living in Beverly. His master's degree in art history with a modern and contemporary focus informs the creation of his own artwork. He has enjoyed working at ceramics studios around the world, as well as several museums in the Boston area. His work continues to evolve, and recently his practice has shifted from hand-built, figurative sculpture to minimal, wheel-thrown vessels.
