Our Studio:

We are glad you are here! We aim to have the studio as a place you look forward to come and be a positive part of your pottery experience.

Classes: Our 8-week classes, open to ages 18+, cost $440 and include all materials (clay, glazes, firings, communal tools, and personal shelf; 18”x24”. Each class is capped at 9 students for personalized instruction. Students also enjoy free open studio practice time.

The curriculum covers clay fundamentals, studio safety, and the full pottery process: preparing clay, wheel throwing, drying, trimming, bisque firing, and glazing. Small class sizes ensure individualized attention, making it ideal for both beginners and experienced throwers.

One-time workshops: Join our one-time pottery workshops for a fun and creative experience with a friendly and experienced teacher. You'll have access to all necessary tools, clay, and a variety of glazes. After your session, your pots will be fired and ready for pickup in a few weeks. Shipping is also available to add-on for your convenience. Cost is $90. Offered Saturday evening and Sunday morning.

Independent study: Designed for experienced artists comfortable working independently. Includes studio access, 25 lbs of clay, glazes, and firings. Each member receives their own shelf (18”x48”). Requires at least 1 term of classes at Score & Slip, or equivalent independent study at another studio. Additional clay available to purchase. Membership cost is $200 with automatic monthly renewal. Cancellation requires a 2-week notice in writing.

Drop-ins: Enjoy flexible access to the studio based on your needs. Our drop-in option is perfect for short projects or students with varying schedules. Drop-ins are available in 3-hour time blocks and are valid for a year.

Equipment: Our studio uses Laguna Bmix w/grog and Standard 211, with 13 Brent C wheels for throwing, 2 Skutt kilns, 10 cu. ft. each. You will also find, Shimpo slab roller and Northstar extruder. We mix our studio glazes in-house and also provide some commercial glazes.
